1. North Korea and South Korea on November 23, 2010 exchanged several rounds of artillery after. North Korea shelled South Korea Island of the Yetmpyeong Island in the disputed waters of the Yellow Sea. The island is inhabited by 16000 people.


2. 8. Dilma Rousseff was elected as the first-ever woman President of Brazil recently after getting 56% of the ballots while her rival Jose Serra-the former Governor of Sao Paulo station just 44% vote.

9. Kenya’s runner David Rudisha and Croatian high jumper star Blanka Vlasic were named male and female athletes of the year for 2010 respectively by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) on November 21, 2010.

10. China grabbed in November 2010, 416 medals (199 golds 119 silver and 98 bronze) at 16th Asiad in Guangzhou, China followed by Korea (232 medals) and Japan (216 medals).
